Job Description

You will

  • Identify all the tasks and resources needed to ensure a timely proposal preparation and submission.
  • Develop action plans with action owners and deadlines to keep track of progress and to work with cross functional teams from Systems Engineering, Systems Integration, Lifecycle Support Services, Procurement for third party content, Product Group, Finance, Legal, etc.
  • Review with respective team members on project strategy, technical requirements, work progress, competitive situation, risk management plan, commercial and financial responses. 
  • Conduct meetings to review and scrub technical design, SI implementation plan/cost, risk management plan, commercial responses and pricing strategy.
  • Manage the preparation of RFQ and oversee the progress of achieving optimized third party equipment and solutions.
  • Work closely with Account Manager to determine pricing strategy and work with Bid & Quote team to prepare customer price schedule.
  • Travel, as and when necessary, to discuss project requirements, provide proposal clarifications, conduct presentation, negotiate pricing & contract with partners and customers.
  • Ensure proper documentation and sign-off from appropriate internal approvers, complying to relevant internal approval guidelines (i.e. EBCR, Apttus).
  • Give detailed briefing to ensure smooth transition of awarded projects to post-award implementation team and properly hand-over all relevant project documents.
  • Support Finance and SI teams to develop project shipment plan for accurate forecast of project Revenues and timing of recognition.
  • Conduct project post-mortem analysis to capture lessons learned for the benefits of future projects.
  • Work with Sales and Legal to drive review and closure of Teaming Agreement (with partner) and Non-Disclosure Agreement.

Basic Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical & Electronics or Communications Engineering with Business Administration study is preferred
  • Minimum 7 years related working experience in telecommunications industry and in pre-sales bid and project management for telecommunications and IT projects
  • A team player with strong people management skills to drive consensus and to manage a bid team coming from various functional teams
  • Ability to work independently on assigned projects with good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communications and presentation skills in order to effectively engage customers, update senior management and manage cross functional bid teams
