About The Role

As a Full-Stack Web Engineer, You’ll spend most of your time designing and building of new capabilities of our various Web software systems. You will work closely with fellow engineers, designers, product managers, data analysts and business stakeholders.

Our technical stack consists mostly of Ruby-on-Rails and Java or Scala for back-end and React for front-end, but we’re not dogmatic about it. Our squads are autonomous and own the development process end-to-end, meaning we test and deploy our own code.

You will be expected to:

Deliver high-quality code that impacts the bottom line of the business

Drive technical solutions for strategic initiatives

Design stable and performant APIs

Help steer technical decisions about infrastructure and architecture

Pursue engineering excellence and collaborative processes

WeWork’s Referrals program, enabling anyone to sell on behalf of WeWork and get rewarded for successful deals.

WeWork’s internal Sales API platform, streamlining sales processes such as scheduling tours of WeWork locations and managing waitlists, allowing to put offices on hold, allowing to sell offices online, managing the leads funnel and more.

Requirements

Solid coding and software design skills

Proficient in at least one object-oriented programming language.

Proven track record of building and deploying industry-level software products (Exceptional recent graduates will also considered) 

Collaborative, thrives when working with fellow engineers and business stakeholders.

Independent, able to take software development tasks from conception to production.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Advantages

B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related field from a top-tier academic institute.

Hands-on experience with back-end web frameworks and languages. For example: Ruby on Rails (preferred), Python/Django or Node.js

Hands-on experience with front-end web frameworks and languages. For example: React (preferred), Angular or vue.js

Proficient in SQL and working with databases.

Have a technical superpower, such as Dev-Ops know-how (CI / CD , Dockers , Kubernetes) , Data analysis expertise, passion for optimized work processes, or getting CSS right on the first try.
