The Member Engagement Platform (MEP) team is zulily’s primary communication channel with the customers. Last year, we sent over 10 billion emails, mobile push notifications, and Facebook messages. This year, our goal is to use Machine Learning to personalize the content and schedule of every single communication so we can give each individual customer the best and most timely information pertinent to her shopping needs.

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field. Master’s degree preferred.
· 5+ years experience as an SDE, preferably in ecommerce and/or online advertising.
· Expert-level skills in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, C++, C#.
· Strong knowledge of the following technologies: MongoDB or equivalent, MySQL or equivalent, EMR/Hadoop.
· History of designing highly-scalable systems.
· Hands-on experience with Cloud (AWS preferred, Azure or Google Cloud ok)
· A burning desire to build products that solve big problems.
· Easy going personality.
