You will learn and apply our holistic approach - we combine analytics with industry expertise to build profitable scalable campaigns for our clients from strategy development to execution and optimization. You will work with a cross-functional team to leads efforts in account management - identifying key strategic goals and formulate innovative, actionable media plans to meet and exceed the client's specific business goals. You will also build, lead and mentor the Strategy team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead efforts to engage with clients to identify key strategic goals and formulate innovative, actionable media plans to meet and exceed the client's specific business goals through analytics
- Provide leadership and operate as the senior client contact, actively driving strategic analytical planning initiatives with responsibility for integrating all services on assigned accounts
- Build strong relationships with clients and manage day to day relationships
- Manage a strategy team to ensure that all assigned media requirements are executed in a timely and accurate manner
- Partner with all cross-functional teams (Business Insights, Marketing Sciences, Investment and Engineering) to assess performance, recommend optimizations and develop media plans to best maximize ROI
- Oversee, manage and be accountable for media budgets and client billing
- Handle client requests including plan revisions, budget changes, media POVs, marketplace updates
- Ensure plans are delivered timely and support brand; maximize customer engagement, sales leads & long-term loyalty
- Optimize market research and competitive trends to generate qualitative and quantities insights that inform and support recommendations
- Research and understand demographic data and consumer profiles to identify desired target audiences
- Liaise with client’s partner agencies fostering strong integration among all teams
- Provide leadership internal and external leadership on emerging trends and opportunities, and proven methods of marketing effectiveness
- Maintain contact and rapport with media suppliers to stay current on opportunities and trends
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 10-15 years of experience in media strategy/planning at an advertising/media agency, e-commerce experience is a plus
- Strong media analytics background
- Must have performance marketing and client-side experience
- Expert knowledge of principles of marketing and advertising, media dynamics and concepts
- Proven skills in traditional/offline planning (across national TV, DRTV, local media); working knowledge of digital is a must
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem solving skills, ability to formulate insights-driven solutions
- Proven experience managing successful performance driven teams
- Must be able to communicate effectively and present client insights and recommendations through storytelling with ease and effectiveness
- Ability to quickly gain knowledge and understanding of client’s industry, business and goals
- Ability to work well in a fast paced, collaborative entrepreneurial environment, building credibility and trust with senior-level clients, external partners and internal teams
- Knowledge/experience with leading industry research and planning tools (e.g. Optimax, IMS, MRI, Kantar Stradegy, etc.)
