The MEP (Member Engagement Platform) team is responsible for all the communication zulily has with our established customer base. From the first "welcome" email, to customer-driven transactional interactions (ie user-triggered password reset) to order confirmations, our team builds the messaging platform driving direct interaction with our customers. We also deliver email marketing, multi-channel efforts like Facebook and mobile messaging. If that isn't enough, this team also assays user segmentation dealing with terabytes of information that helps us understand our customer better. We are looking for a senior software engineer to help provide direction, a strong design element, knowledge, and leadership to the team. Our small, highly collaborative team can often be found working at the white board, pair programming, or having lunch together in the cafe. 

Essential Job Functions:

• Develop and deploy solutions independently and as a team member

• Participate in design efforts and discussions

• Review requirements, software designs, and code

• Own the quality of the deliverables

• Collaborate across business teams (stakeholders) 

• Operate and provide 24/7 services to internal and external customers 

• Research new technologies to support build vs. buy and rapid growth of the business 

• Design in a mindset of reducing technical debt

• Consistently delivers work with started timelines
