Description

The Dangerous Goods Project Manager prioritizes and manages projects, initiatives, and testing occurring across the dangerous goods program. The role interacts with multiple departments and cross-functional stakeholders, including software development, network/systems engineering, and product development to deliver solutions. The Project Manager is responsible for allocating and managing resources to deliver projects within the constraints of cost, quality, capacity, and deadlines.

  JOB RESPONSIBLITIES & DUTIES
• With stakeholder input, identifies, defines, and recommends project initiatives for the dangerous goods program
• Serves as technical liaison for department to prioritize features for development and define requirements for product features
• Coordinates and collaborate with all tech teams on dangerous goods feature testing with operational and planning for product deployments
• Manages data analytics to support projects and team
• Evaluates available resources and contributes to determination of priority level of projects and capacity needs
• Periodically reviews and updates priority levels and statuses of projects
• Submits tech tickets when necessary tracking critical issues to closure and manages project pages
• Improves efficiency, accuracy, and precision of internal systems and processes
• Investigates scope, resources, requirements, and feasibility of new initiatives, systems, or processes, using the information to define projects for the dangerous goods program
• Identifies the financial impact of initiatives to accurately prioritize
• Assists with, and completes the process of researching key questions: considering resources, defining variables and metrics of success, performing tests, and critically evaluating results
• Report on conclusions, successes, and lessons learned


Qualifications

• 3 years of varied project management experience, including operations and technical projects
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
• Self-driven, eager to learn and goal-oriented with strong time management skills
• Collaborative leadership skills (liaison)
• Calm under pressure, can excel and thrive in a high-volume environment
• Proactive problem solving, both technically and creatively
• Must be analytical and possess the ability to interpret and translate data of varying complexity
• Exceptionally rigorous work ethic, adaptable to ever-changing hours and demands, with ability to re-focus and develop options for quick changes in projects
• Strong attention to detail and order
• Understands balance of quality and quantity
• Understands balance of individual, department, organization and customer needs
• Advanced Excel skills required; SQL preferred
