As Manager, Analytics, you will work with a cross-functional team to produce actionable quantitative models and analyses to address the complexities of marketing effectiveness, ROI, spot attribution, channel effectiveness, and pricing for our clients. You will learn and apply Blackwood Seven’s holistic approach - we combine analytics with industry expertise to build profitable scalable campaigns for our clients from strategy development to execution and optimization.

As a data-driven company, the Analtyics team is at the forefront of our client offerings. You will be responsible for building and implementing best practices within this department as well as how it integrates throughout the organization. You will also lead a team, develop talent, and produce actionable quantitative models and analyses to address the challenges of marketing effectiveness, ROI, spot attribution, channel effectiveness, and pricing. You will work closely with the Executives and senior management.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage analytics aspects of client engagements in the areas of spot attribution, client reporting, and ad hoc analysis using Excel, SQL and Tableau
  • Mentor a small team to produce actionable quantitative models and analyses to address the challenges of marketing effectiveness, ROI, spot attribution, channel effectiveness, and pricing
  • Deliver modeling results and develop insightful recommendations for clients and other departments, as well as perform analysis on strategically important accounts
  • Anticipate client needs and proactively develop recommendations and solutions
  • Translate sophisticated analytical information into client-friendly summaries and recommendations via Tableau, PowerPoint and Word
  • Operationalize the process of ensuring data and deliverable quality
  • Manage and coordinate with other internal departments to ensure that disruptions to client reporting are mitigated
  • Present reports, POVs and other summaries to clients on a regular basis over the phone and in person
  • Ensure on-time delivery and maintain transparency in client deliverables

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, statistics, mathematics, marketing analytics, economics or other quantitative or science fields
  • 4+ years of quantitative analytics experience (ideally with strong focus on marketing analytics in advertising)
  • Experience with database design and SQL concepts – must be able to manage technical members of the team
  • Must have a strong aptitude and experience with quantitative subjects
  • Must have strong presentation skills
  • Experience managing multi-functional teams
  • Successful track record supporting client relationships through effective partnership with internal and external client teams
  • Good understanding of predictive analytics, optimization and marketing mix

Additional Technical Skills:

  • Experience with Tableau (or other data visualization tools) is also a plus
  • Proficiency with analytic software tools such as R, SAS, Eviews and a good understanding of the statistical algorithms typically used in Marketing Analytics
  • Experience in ad-serving and web analytics tools (Google Analytics, etc.)
  • Experience with syndicated research sources/tools (MRI, Nielsen, comScore)
  • Experience / familiarity with DRTV ad effectiveness research
  • Expert with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
