Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM

Position Overview
Express Employment Professionals in Waterloo is seeking a Material Handler to join a local warehouse team. This position is responsible for loading and unloading materials, building pallets for shipment, maintaining inventory counts using handheld scanners, and operating a forklift to move products throughout the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have prior forklift experience, be comfortable performing physical labor, and have a strong focus on safety and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Move 50-pound bags by hand onto pallets
- Build and prepare pallets for outbound shipments
- Receive and organize inbound materials and products
- Use handheld scanners to maintain accurate inventory counts
- Transport pallets and materials using a forklift
- Move products to shipping and receiving docks
- Ensure materials are properly staged for shipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures
Qualifications:
- 6 months to 1 year of forklift experience required
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred
- Experience using handheld scanners is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable with strong attendance and reliability
- Safety-conscious and able to work efficiently in a warehouse environment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Full range of motion for lifting, carrying, and moving materials
- Strong back for loading and building pallets
- Good knee mobility for bending, squatting, and lifting
- Good eyesight and hearing
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and lift throughout the shift
- Comfortable performing physical labor in a warehouse setting
