Reports To: Production Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our client's production team. The Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery in a safe and efficient manner to ensure high-quality production. The ideal candidate should have Machine Operator experience, mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate various types of machinery (e.g., rotary die cutters, flat bed die cutters, roll slicers and a

flash cutter) according to established procedures and safety guidelines.

• Set up machines before production and perform test runs to ensure proper functioning.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and

efficiency.

• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Maintain accurate production and maintenance records.
• Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Collaborate with supervisors and other team members to meet production goals.
• Report malfunctions or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Load and unloading material from machines, warehouse and trailers.
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
• Proven experience as a machine operator or in a similar manufacturing role.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read drawings or work instructions (if applicable).
• Ability to read and understand measurement devices
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Good time management skills
• Good physical condition and ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Work hours 8:30 am – 5:00pm.
• Punctuality and attendance are vital

Preferred Skills:

• Working knowledge of CNC machinery programming or programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• Forklift certification is a plus
• Relevant equipment training.
• Experience in working with non-metallic materials such as closed and open cell foams, silicones,

felts, etc
