We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer test automation who can lead quality engineering initiatives. A creative thinker with the ability to improve testing processes and drive automation excellence. Expert in designing, developing, and maintaining reliable automated test solutions for cloud-based applications that scale.

Location: Kraków, Poland

Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office

Experience and Skills:

• At least 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance and test automation
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (Typescript, Python or Java) for end-to-end test automation of UI and API
• Experience designing and implementing automated testing frameworks for web applications and event-driven distributed systems
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, quality engineering practices, and test lifecycle management
• Experience working within Agile development teams and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. Gitlab CI preferably
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of colleagues in English

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks for web applications, APIs, and event-driven distributed systems.
• Create and execute end-to-end automated test suites using Playwright with TypeScript, Python, or Java.
• Develop robust UI and API test automation solutions to ensure high product quality and reliability.
• Lead quality engineering initiatives by identifying opportunities for test process improvements and automation optimization.
• Define and implement testing strategies, standards, and best practices across the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders within Agile delivery teams to ensure quality is built into every stage of development.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitLab CI, to enable continuous testing and faster release cycles.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot defects, and work with development teams to drive timely issue resolution.
• Ensure test coverage, traceability, and adherence to quality metrics throughout the test lifecycle.
