Machine Operator/CNC Cutting Table Operator
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)
We are seeking a dependable CNC Cutting Table Operator to set up, operate, and maintain CNC cutting equipment to produce quality metal components according to engineering drawings and production requirements.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC plasma/laser cutting tables.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, drawings, and nesting layouts.
- Load and run CNC programs, verify materials, and ensure proper machine setup.
- Inspect parts for accuracy and quality using measuring tools.
- Perform routine maintenance, equipment inspections, and minor troubleshooting.
- Maintain production records and follow all safety procedures.
- Assist with other fabrication and production tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience operating CNC plasma, laser, or similar CNC equipment preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools.
- Basic computer, math, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Experience
- Vicon, Vulcan, Hypertherm, or similar CNC cutting systems.
- Forklift experience or certification.
- Knowledge of metal fabrication processes, nesting software, and lean manufacturing practices.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with heat, noise, dust, and moving equipment.
- Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
