Job Title: Electrical Assembler

Job Description

The Electrical Assembler reads electrical schematics and builds and wires electrical control cabinets and panels. New technicians begin on the cabinet line performing layout work, then progress to assembling components such as panduit and related hardware as they gain experience.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to accurately assemble control panels and electrical cabinets.
• Perform layout work on electrical cabinet lines, ensuring components are placed and organized according to design specifications.
• Wire electrical cabinets and control panels, following established standards for safety, quality, and functionality.
• Assemble mechanical and electrical components, including panduit and related panel hardware, to complete control panel builds.
• Verify wiring and component placement against schematics and documentation, identifying and correcting any discrepancies.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and quality expectations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to shop floor procedures and safety guidelines.
• Participate in optional overtime as needed to support production demands.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Experience working with electrical panels and electrical cabinets.
• Hands-on electrical assembly and wiring skills.
• Familiarity with mechanical assembly in a panel-building environment.
• Ability to follow blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• For Tech I: Technical education (such as Ranken or similar) with no field experience, or no degree with 1–3 years of panel building experience.
• For Tech II: Technical degree with 3+ years of panel building experience, or 5+ years of panel building experience without a degree.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience assembling and wiring electrical control panels.
• Comfort working with panel boards, panduit, and related electrical hardware.
• Strong attention to detail when working from schematics and blueprints.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a production team.
• Willingness to learn new assembly processes and advance to higher technician levels over time.

Work Environment

The role is based on a very clean, quiet, and well-lit shop floor with badge-secured access throughout the building and individual rooms. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with plenty of optional overtime available. Employees have access to an employee rest area that includes lunch and snack options, ample seating, TVs, and recreational amenities such as Golden Tee and air hockey.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Olivette, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
