Machine Operator - 1st Shift

A great company in Rockford is searching for the right person to join their team as a Machine Operator. This position is in charge of operating machines for production and measuring products to ensure quality. Ideally, they are looking for a strong mechanical aptitude, basic math and reading skills, basic computer skills, and a great attitude. The schedule will be M-F 7am-3:00pm with potential OT on Saturday. As production increases, shifts may fluctuate to 10-12 hours to accommodate needs. Job Duties:

• Operate company machines to feed and coat screws and pins
• Complete documentation for production
• Use calipers and other measuring tools to measure products to spec
• Work with other team members to meet production goals

Job Requirements:

• Previous knowledge of calipers is a plus, but not necessary
• Comfortable with measuring products (tape measure, calipers, micrometers, scales)
• Previous machine operating experience is a plus
• Experience in the manufacturing industry or similar experience
• Dependable and hard working individual
• Positive attitude
• Reliable form of transportation
• Ability to stand for the duration of shift, sit, bend, and lift up to 50lbs as required.
• Position dependent on drug test and background check
