Job Description

The Manufacturing Associate performs hands-on manufacturing activities, focusing on the production, assembly, inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of cable and connector products to ensure they meet customer requirements. This role converts raw materials into finished products, builds simple point-to-point cables following detailed drawings and instructions, and uses basic hand tools, measurement tools, and computer systems to support a high level of quality, productivity, and accuracy in a modern manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble cables and connectors to meet specifications and quality standards
  • Read and follow job orders, drawings, and work instructions
  • Perform in-process inspections and basic testing to ensure quality and functionality
  • Use computers to access documents and complete accurate data entry
  • Operate hand tools and measurement equipment during assembly and inspection
  • Perform soldering, troubleshooting, and basic repairs as needed
  • Complete production documentation accurately and on time
  • Support multiple manufacturing areas, including assembly and plating
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production and quality goals

Essential Skills

  • 4–5+ years of manufacturing or assembly experience
  • Ability to read drawings, job orders, and work instructions
  • Proficient with hand tools, measurement tools, and microscopes
  • Experience with soldering, testing, and troubleshooting assemblies
  • Strong computer skills for data entry and document access
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to cross-train and work effectively in a production environment

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with cable testing and troubleshooting is a plus
  • Exposure to production equipment and plating processes is beneficial
  • Experience with microscopes or advanced inspection tools preferred
  • Soldering certification is a plus, but not required
  • Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed

Work Environment

On-site in a clean, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility with modern equipment and multiple production areas. Team-oriented environment with opportunities for cross-training. Overtime available, and adherence to attendance and safety standards is expected. First shift hours are 6:30-3pm, and second shit is from 2:45pm-11pm. Pay is typically around $24/hour, but can go up to $28 depending on qualifications!

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
