We are seeking a detail-oriented Control Panel Technician with experience in electrical panel assembly and point-to-point wiring. The ideal candidate will build and wire control panels, read and interpret schematics and blueprints, install electrical components, and use hand tools to assemble and modify equipment. Candidates should have at least a high school diploma, 2+ years of experience in control panel wiring and assembly, a strong understanding of electrical systems, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Overtime may be required as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Wire and build electrical control panels, junction boxes and subassemblies per customer requirement.
• Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, bills of material.
• Drill or tap holes to mount control units or to provide openings for components, wiring, or instruments.
• Utilize a variety of small hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
• Complete point-to-point wiring, and install a wide variety of electronic components including PLCs, relays, lights, switches, etc.
• Red-line documentation as necessary to initiate ECOs through Engineering.
• Perform operations such as deburring, grinding & sawing. Operate hand pallet jacks to move material within plant.
• Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of a High School Education.
• Technical Certificate in Electrical Controls is desired
• Point to point wiring
• 2+ years’ experience in control panel building, wiring, reading schematics and electrical diagrams. An understanding of electrical currents.
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Mechanical installation and electrical wiring for control panels and desks.
• Experience using hand tools to drill, tap, and assemble electrical panel is a must.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bradenton, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
