Do you believe great software transforms how vehicles get built? We do! Redefining manufacturing requires advanced visualization, robust platform architecture, and software professionals who can turn plant and process data into actionable insight. That's where our Manufacturing Digital Engineering (MDE) Product Line makes an impact. Our Facility Twin and Visualization Product Team builds and deploys manufacturing applications that create advanced visualizations of plant and process data for plant personnel worldwide. Join us and use your software engineering expertise to help our customers build quality vehicles.
We are seeking a passionate Senior Software Engineer to join our team of technical specialists, software engineers, and product managers dedicated to building and supporting software products for our manufacturing plants worldwide. As a key member of our Manufacturing I.T. team, you will play a critical part in shaping the future of Ford's mobility and electrification efforts. You should have a strong technical background and demonstrate experience in full stack software engineering, cloud-native microservices, and modern web application development.
Responsibilities include the end-to-end design, development, and support of APIs, platforms, and services, from concept to production, working within cross-functional teams and in close partnership with Advanced Manufacturing business partners, IT staff, and end-users such as manufacturing and industrial engineers. By leveraging technical expertise and a customer-centric approach, you will deliver high-quality software products that improve plant operations, increase visibility into process data, and drive manufacturing efficiency at scale.
We recognize that no one person will embody every single quality or skill listed below. If you are passionate about full stack software engineering and have a strong foundation in cloud-native architecture and manufacturing technology, we encourage you to apply.
