Job Description
The Assembler builds and validates precision opto-mechanical assemblies in strict accordance with established procedures. This role involves working with standardized tools and equipment, performing mechanical assembly and basic inspections, entering production data into company systems, and preparing completed assemblies for shipment. The Assembler collaborates closely with engineers and peers to support special builds and experiments, helps identify and document material discrepancies, and contributes to continuous improvement of assembly procedures and quality processes.

Work Environment
This role is based on a 2nd shift schedule, Monday through Friday. The physical demands include routinely sitting, walking, talking, hearing, using hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel, as well as stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching, and stretching. You may occasionally move around the campus and lift or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment generally has moderate temperature and noise levels and may include cleanroom or controlled areas when working with precision opto-mechanical assemblies. You must be able to read and interpret data, information, and documents, observe and respond to people and situations, and work effectively under deadlines. Occasional travel may be required based on business needs.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
