Job Description

A leading advanced manufacturing company is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support and promote workplace safety, environmental compliance, and employee well-being. This role partners closely with operations, employees, and leadership to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards while driving a strong culture of safety throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct routine safety inspections throughout production, warehouse, laboratory, and shipping/receiving areas.

Support hazardous waste management programs, inspections, documentation, and regulatory compliance.

Monitor environmental programs, including stormwater inspections, sampling, and waste minimization initiatives.

Assist with accident investigations, corrective action tracking, and risk reduction efforts.

Identify and address unsafe conditions and behaviors while promoting safe work practices.

Facilitate EHS training on topics such as Hazard Communication, Hazardous Waste, PPE, and workplace safety.

Support emergency response teams, safety committees, and preparedness initiatives.

Assist with maintaining and updating EHS policies, procedures, and compliance documentation.

Perform ergonomic assessments and support industrial hygiene initiatives as needed.

Partner with leadership to develop and improve safety and environmental programs.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field preferred.

2+ year of EHS, safety, environmental compliance, or manufacturing experience.

Working knowledge of Cal/OSHA, EPA regulations, Hazardous Waste requirements, HMBP, and SWPPP programs.

Experience conducting inspections, audits, investigations, and safety training.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills across all levels of an organization.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Comfortable working independently and solving problems proactively.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work throughout a production facility.

Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $97760.00/yr.
