ELECTRO-MECHANICAL ASSEMBLERS

Job Description

This role involves performing a wide range of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical, and measurement product assembly operations on components, assemblies, and subassemblies under limited supervision. You will follow established methods and sequences of operations to complete tasks such as wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, welding, and fitting to meet blueprint specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex electronic and electro-mechanical assembly work that requires strong manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
• Assemble and build prototype and production units composed of complex parts and components, including soldering and mechanical assembly tasks.
• Work from complex schematics, drawings, work instructions, wire lists, and other written, video, or verbal instructions to assemble and rework a variety of complex assemblies and subassemblies in both repetitive and non-repetitive work.
• Make setups and adjustments while holding tolerances in accordance with blueprint specifications.
• Analyze assembly techniques, methods, and systems and propose improvements to the Production Lead.

Essential Skills

• 3–5 years of electro-mechanical assembly experience.
• Experience working in a regulated industry such as aerospace, medical, or semiconductor.
• Strong mechanical assembly skills with the ability to follow detailed documentation.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex schematics, drawings, work instructions, and wire lists.
• Ability to perform hand soldering, wiring, cable harnessing, and mechanical fitting operations.
• Ability to check for defects and accurately identify and distinguish between colors.

Work Environment

This position operates in a manufacturing environment on a first shift schedule, typically from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with occasional overtime that is not mandatory. The dress code is manufacturing casual, and personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided as needed for safety. The work involves both bench and floor activities: you may sit at a desk for extended periods to perform documentation or assembly tasks, use a keyboard for written communication, and intermittently answer telephones.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SAN DIEGO, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
