Brady Corporation's Engraving Solutions group is seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and passionate Senior Software Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying full-stack solutions and sophisticated end-user desktop applications that directly impact our customers, with a sharp focus on usability, quality, and performance. This position leads the core development, optimization, and modernization of our premier industrial software suite, building a robust, user-centric system architecture that spans high-performance graphical interfaces, low-level native execution engines, and deep hardware control layers. This is an onsite role based in our Acton, MA or Cranberry Township, PA office.

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code across the entire software stack.
  • Design configurations and communication interfaces to drive industrial multi-axis motion hardware.
  • Build, consume, and support message-based networking APIs and client libraries to enable remote programmatic system control.
  • Advance the user experience by enhancing sophisticated desktop user interfaces using modern presentation frameworks.
  • Analyze monitoring and system performance data to provide optimization recommendations to system and product owners.
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality, highly responsive features.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Deep understanding of and 5+ years of experience with software development using C#, .NET, and C++ ecosystems.
  • Proficiency in socket-level network programming, specifically building and consuming APIs over TCP/IP, UDP multicast discovery, file transfer protocols.
  • Strong understanding of hardware interface communication protocols, including digital/analog I/O layouts, safety interlocks, and encoders.
  • Experience interacting with message-based client/server communication layers.
  • Practical experience or a strong interest in AI development and machine learning to drive future product innovation.
