Are you ready to help shape the future of AI in corporate banking? Join us as an AI Engineer in the District GenAI squad and help build the AI-powered products that are transforming how Danske Bank's corporate customers and employees work every day.

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on AI Engineer to join the District GenAI squad, part of the Channels Corporates tribe at Danske Bank. District is our corporate banking product, and the District GenAI squad is responsible for the AI products built on top of it, from internal employee tooling to customer-facing features used directly within District.

Right now, we are building AI-powered products on AWS using Amazon Bedrock, and we need someone who can craft the user-facing experiences that make these AI features intuitive, responsive and trustworthy for corporate customers and employees alike.

What You Will Be Doing:

As an AI Front-end (React) Developer, you will work hands-on building the interfaces and interaction patterns for our AI products, as part of a multi-discipline squad spanning backend, design and data science.

Design and build responsive, accessible front-end applications and components that surface AI-powered features within District.

• Develop UX patterns for AI-specific interactions such as streaming responses, conversational interfaces, citations/source transparency and human-in-the-loop review
• Write high-quality code, review pull requests and troubleshoot hard technical problems across the front-end stack
• Collaborate closely with design, backend and data science to integrate AI/LLM features (RAG, agentic workflows) into a cohesive product experience
• Help ensure the products meet security, compliance and accessibility standards expected in a regulated bank
• Coordinate with engineering teams elsewhere in the tribe to ensure the products integrate reliably with core systems

About You:

We are looking for an engineer with strong front-end technical depth who enjoys building hands-on and collaborating closely across disciplines, including with backend and data science on AI-powered features.

Your background includes:

• Experience as a front-end engineer, building production-grade web applications (e.g., React, TypeScript, or similar modern stack)
• Experience building UI/UX for AI or LLM-based features, such as chat interfaces, streaming content or agentic workflows
• Working knowledge of integrating with APIs and cloud-hosted backends (AWS experience is beneficial)
• Familiarity with accessibility, security and the governance demands of a regulated environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and design disciplines
• Background in financial services, familiarity with DORA or GDPR regulations, and experience with legacy system integration would add to your application
• Advanced English language skills

Monthly salary range from 3680 EUR to 5520 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
