Job Title: Final Assembler

Job Description

The Final Assembler builds large industrial generators by completing the final stages of assembly, including mounting exterior panels and installing the trailers or tanks they sit on. This role works directly from detailed blueprints and schematics to meet specific customer requirements, using a variety of hand, power, and pneumatic tools. The position involves crating finished products for shipment and requires regular lifting of components up to 50 pounds in a production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform final assembly of large industrial generators according to detailed instructions and production standards.
  • Assemble exterior panels and install generators onto trailers or tanks, ensuring proper fit and secure mounting.
  • Complete the final stages of generator assembly, including alignment, fastening, and finishing tasks.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to meet specific customer requirements and custom configurations.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools safely and effectively during all phases of assembly.
  • Crate finished products as needed to prepare them for safe shipment and handling.
  • Inspect assembled units for accuracy, quality, and completeness before final crating or movement to the next stage.
  • Handle and lift components and assemblies weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in the open bay/warehouse production environment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with tools, equipment, and heavy components.

Essential Skills

  • At least 6 months of experience in large product mechanical assembly.
  • Experience in automotive or similar mechanical work, including car mechanics, is acceptable.
  • At least 6 months of experience using hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools.
  • Ability to read and work directly from blueprints and schematics.
  • Capability to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of assembly processes.
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a production environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge in mechanical assembly of large products such as equipment, vehicles, or industrial machinery.
  • Experience in carpentry, production, or related hands-on trades.
  • Strong attention to detail when following blueprints and customer specifications.
  • Comfort working with a wide variety of hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other team members in a production setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Mankato, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
