The Role
Fidelity’s Charitable Technology group is adding a Principal Full Stack Engineer to serve as a technical leader and strategic influencer and drive architectural direction and engineering excellence across teams. With your deep expertise in modern development practices, object-oriented design, and design patterns, you'll lead complex initiatives spanning the full software development lifecycle. As a Principal Engineer, you'll be recognized for your ability to scale impact beyond individual contributions, by mentoring senior engineers, shaping best practices, and partnering across the organization to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions that drive business outcomes.
As a highly collaborative and technically proficient software engineering professional, you'll bring strong expertise in modern development frameworks, programming languages, and architectural patterns. With a proven track record of hands-on development and technical leadership, you'll be expected to excel at delivering high-quality, accessible, and scalable solutions while mentoring team members and fostering engineering best practices. You must be passionate about continuous delivery and innovation and effectively partner with cross-functional teams to drive impactful outcomes.

Fidelity Charitable is a 501(c)(3) public charity. We help donors maximize their generosity through our donor-advised fund, called the Giving Account. Established in 1991, we are the nation’s top grantmaker, distributing $18.3 billion to charities in 2025.
Fidelity’s Charitable Technology group develops the next-generation technologies that directly impacts how customers accomplish their philanthropic goals. As a member of the Fidelity Philanthropic Services business unit, you will help Fidelity Charitable applications evolve through hands-on software development, technical mentoring, and cross-team collaboration with a diverse, co-located engineering team, while also visualizing customer issues as drivers for internal change.
Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
