Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Teradata Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale data warehouse solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Teradata, Informatica, and SQL, with experience building high-performance ETL pipelines, optimizing data models, and supporting large-scale data integration initiatives. The role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, data architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain Teradata-based Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) solutions.

Develop, enhance, and support ETL workflows using Informatica.

Create and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for data processing and reporting.

Perform data modelling and implement enterprise data models such as FSLDM and MDM.

Optimize Teradata database performance through query tuning, indexing, and workload management.

Integrate data from multiple sources including Oracle, SQL Server, and other enterprise systems.

Perform data validation, reconciliation, and ensure data quality across the warehouse.

Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution for data-related incidents.

Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and application teams to understand data requirements.

Prepare technical documentation, data flow diagrams, and deployment artifacts.

Support production releases and participate in code reviews while following development best practices.

Required Skills:

6–9 years of experience in Data Engineering or Enterprise Data Warehouse development.

Strong hands-on experience with Teradata database development and administration concepts.

Proficiency in Informatica PowerCenter for ETL development.

Advanced SQL programming and query optimization skills.

Experience working with Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) environments.

Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) and Financial Services Logical Data Model (FSLDM).

Experience with Oracle and SQL Server databases.

Familiarity with Linux and AS/400 operating systems.

Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modelling, and ETL best practices.

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Knowledge of data governance, data lineage, and metadata management.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data engineering.

Experience with scripting languages such as Shell or Python.

Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry.

Teradata or Informatica professional certifications.
