Why write a single app when you could help shape a million? The Mac UI Frameworks team is responsible for delivering the user experience on the Mac, across SwiftUI, AppKit, and UIKit. Help build the components and APIs used by all macOS application developers, and empower them to build better apps with less code. We have an impact across the entire breadth of the macOS system, directly impacting the experience of every single user. Are you passionate about providing users and developers with a first-class experience? Join us, and help make the Mac better for everyone!
The Mac UI Frameworks team is responsible for the user interface frameworks that form the heart of macOS applications. Engineers on our team are responsible for and contribute to SwiftUI, AppKit, and UIKit. We provide a wide variety of building blocks including: windows and layout of their content; drawing and graphics support; enabling new input devices and other hardware features; responding to user events; user controls like buttons, sliders, and tables; document management infrastructure; and many others. Youʼll also have the opportunity to collaborate with experts throughout Apple including: compiler engineers, performance experts, security engineers, interface designers, and technical writers. Because we have the privilege of collaborating closely with the Swift, Xcode, design, and framework teams up and down the software stack, we believe Apple's UI frameworks can be — by far — the best app development experience in the world. If youʼre interested in helping define this future and pushing the state of the art forward, weʼd love to hear from you!
