Role Description & Responsibilities

1.Understand the engineering processes, workflows, and tooling used by global R&D organizations.

2.Design, develop, and maintain scalable back‑end services using Node.js, Express, and related ecosystem components.

3.Build modern, responsive front‑end applications with React (including hooks, context, and functional components) and integrate them with back‑end APIs.

4.Create, document, and version RESTful APIs and micro‑services that expose business functionality to internal platforms and external customers.

5.Implement database solutions (both SQL – e.g., MySQL – and NoSQL – e.g., MongoDB) and write efficient queries, migrations, and data‑access layers.

6.Develop reusable UI components, utility libraries, and automation scripts to improve engineering productivity across teams.

7.Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, QA, and R&D teams for continuous integration, automated testing, containerization, and production deployment of Node.js applications.

8.Participate in architecture reviews, code‑review sessions, troubleshooting, and continuous‑improvement initiatives to uphold high‑quality engineering standards.

9.Ensure security best practices, maintainability, and scalability across the full stack (frontend, backend, and data layers).

10.Operate in a Linux environment, understanding basic system administration, process monitoring, and log management to support production deployments.

Qualification

  • Experience: 1–3 years of hands‑on full‑stack development using Node.js, Express, and React.
  • Education: BE / B. Tech or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
  • Backend Skills: Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), Node.js runtime, Express framework, REST API design, authentication/authorization (JWT, OAuth), and server‑side rendering concepts.
  • Frontend Skills: Solid experience with React (hooks, functional components, state management), HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery for legacy UI enhancements.
  • Database Expertise: Good command of relational databases (MySQL) and NoSQL stores (MongoDB). Ability to write optimized queries, design schemas, and perform migrations.
  • Linux Fundamentals: Comfortable working in a Linux environment (shell commands, file permissions, process monitoring, basic networking).
  • Deployment Knowledge Experience deploying Node.js applications (Docker, CI/CD pipelines). Ability to troubleshoot runtime issues in production.
  • Version Control & Build Tools: Proficient with Git.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and debugging abilities, good communication, and the capacity to work effectively with both local and remote teams.
  • Mindset: Self‑motivated, eager to learn new technologies, and passionate about delivering high‑quality software.

Good to Have

  • Exposure to container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker‑Swarm).
  • Familiarity with message brokers (Kafka, JMS) or caching layers (Redis).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Others) – especially services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, or Elastic Beanstalk.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices – CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI), monitoring (Grafana), and logging.
  • Exposure to backend technologies like Java/Python
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks and end‑to‑end testing (Selenium).
