Job Title: Brake Press Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator to join our team in Kent, OH. This role involves setting up and operating brake press machines to produce accurate parts according to specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Set up brake press machines with the correct materials, tools, and dies.
  • Adjust machine settings to meet required specs and tolerances.
  • Run CNC and/or manual brake press machines, including making or editing programs as needed.
  • Read and follow blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to produce accurate parts.
  • Check production using measuring tools like calipers and gauges.
  • Ensure all parts meet quality standards and requirements.
  • Move finished parts safely using cranes, hoists, or other lifting equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and procedures.

Essential Skills

  • Experience operating brake press equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong shop math skills.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools.
  • Ability to operate lifts or cranes (or willingness to learn).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
