🚀 We're Hiring | Senior Java Engineers (Architects & Technical Leads) | Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Are you a hands-on Java Architect or Technical Lead who loves solving complex engineering problems and building innovative solutions from the ground up?

We're looking for Senior Java Engineers to join an R&D Innovation team working on cutting-edge Agentic AI initiatives.

📍 Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – Minimum 3 days/week onsite)

📄 Duration: 6-month contract (possible extension up to 1 year)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, architect, develop, test, and implement Java-based backend solutions.
• Own features from concept through implementation without requiring detailed technical direction.
• Evaluate and recommend the best technologies, frameworks, and architectural approaches for each solution.
• Build scalable, secure, and high-quality applications using modern engineering practices.
• Work closely with engineering and product teams to transform ideas into working solutions.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality.
• Contribute to technology evaluations and innovation initiatives while ensuring compliance and engineering best practices.

What we're looking for:

✔️ 8+ years of hands-on Java backend development

✔️ Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot & Microservices

✔️ Software architecture & system design experience

✔️ Experience with GitHub Copilot and/or Claude

✔️ Understanding of AI/ML concepts and AI-assisted development

✔️ Experience with Agentic AI, AI agents, workflows, or AI-powered coding tools

✔️ Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in ambiguous, innovation-driven environments

Nice to Have:

• AWS
• Databricks
• AI/ML solution development
• Proof of Concepts (POCs) & prototype development

This is not a traditional feature development role. You'll evaluate emerging technologies, build innovative solutions, create prototypes, and help shape the future of AI-powered products.
