Summary:

As a Custom Software Engineering Lead, a typical day involves overseeing the technical direction and architectural design of bespoke software solutions. This role requires guiding teams through the entire development lifecycle, from initial design concepts to final delivery. The position demands ensuring that development practices meet high standards of quality, scalability, and performance, all while aligning with the broader business goals. Collaboration and leadership are central, as the role involves coordinating efforts across multiple teams to achieve seamless integration and successful project outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Strong Adobe Commerce / Magento 2 backend expertise – PHP 8.x, module development, dependency injection, plugins, observers, and configuration XML

Adobe Commerce Cloud platform knowledge – environments, deployments, configuration

New Relic monitoring - New Relic dashboards, alerts, monitoring, code analysis

Maintenance & upgrade skills – applying security patches, version upgrades, hotfixes

Troubleshooting & incident handling – log analysis, error diagnosis, Cloud environment debugging, and root-cause analysis

Testing expertise – unit tests, integration tests, regression testing after patches/releases, and validation of fixes in multi-environment setups

CI/CD & DevOps collaboration – working with CI/CD expert

Security awareness – Adobe Commerce security features (CSP, form keys, input validation)

Luma Frontend – understanding of themes and frontend customization

Professional & Technical Skills:

  • Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Magento Commerce.
  • Strong expertise in software architecture design and implementation.
  • Experience in managing and leading software development teams.
  • Ability to ensure scalability and performance optimization in custom software solutions.
  • Familiarity with best practices in code quality assurance and version control.
  • Skilled in problem-solving and providing technical guidance across multiple teams.

Additional Information:

  • The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Adobe Magento Commerce.
  • This position is based at our Pune office.
  • A 15 years full time education is required.

The candidate is required to work out of the Client Office in Kharadi, Pune for 3 days per week, as per the mandate.
