Summary:

As a Database Administrator, a typical day involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust database systems to support organizational needs. This role includes installing database management systems and developing comprehensive procedures to ensure smooth daily operations and timely resolution of any issues that arise. The position requires continuous monitoring and optimization of database performance, collaborating with various teams to align database functionality with business objectives, and ensuring data integrity and security throughout all processes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
• Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
• Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
• Monitor database performance and implement necessary improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support database-related requirements and troubleshoot issues.
• Document database configurations, procedures, and policies to maintain clear operational guidelines.
• Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Applications DBA.
• Good To Have Skills: Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Strong knowledge of database installation, configuration, and upgrade processes.
• Experience in backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning for database environments.
• Ability to optimize database performance through tuning and query optimization.
• Familiarity with database security best practices and access control management.

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle Applications DBA.
• This position is based at our Chennai office.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
