EPAM Systems

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain Java-based applications while adhering to engineering best practices
• Analyze project requirements, estimate tasks and support technical design decisions
• Collaborate with global teams on technical solutions, code reviews and Confluence documentation
• Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes and implement effective fixes
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives
• Drive system improvements, code quality and overall performance optimization

Requirements

• Proven experience in software development with a strong foundation in computer science
• Hands-on expertise with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Git and Maven
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns and data structures
• Experience working with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL) or NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and core cloud or CI/CD concepts (Jenkins, Jira)
• Clear communication in English (B2 level or higher)
