Imagine what you could do here! At Apple, new ideas have a way of becoming extraordinary products, services, and customer experiences very quickly. Do you want to build personalized features without sacrificing privacy in Maps? If you are excited about helping us innovate and craft our next-generation of personalized Maps experiences, we invite you to apply for the job and join us!
As a development engineer working on our team, your primary responsibility will be expanding a framework for making Apple products more personalized and intelligent in the context of Maps and Locations. You will work closely with designers and engineers across Apple to add new features and build the best proactive mapping and recommendations experience. You'll need to be a proficient iOS, macOS, or watchOS developer and also be able to debug application performance using various tools and techniques. An aptitude for crafting user and developer interfaces will also serve you well. While this is a non-UI role, you will deeply impact the UX for which you will need constant communication with the Human Interface team. Maps frameworks are supported on multiple platforms (iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS), so understanding and developing shared codebases between different operating systems is a must.
