Job Description

We are looking for a Python Developer to design build and maintain healthcare data integrations while supporting development and enhancements within the New Jersey Immunization Information System. This position will be a full-time contract and hybrid in Trenton, NJ.

What You’ll Do

  • Design develop and maintain data integrations using Python and modern frameworks
  • Build and support RESTful APIs and microservices for healthcare systems
  • Develop key modules within NJIIS application
  • Analyze functional requirements and technical specifications to implement solutions
  • Collaborate with technical and product teams to deliver integrated solutions
  • Support application design development and testing activities
  • Work with internal and external teams to ensure system integration
  • Provide estimates for development efforts and enhancements
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and development artifacts
  • Support ongoing application upgrades and feature enhancements

What You’ll Need

Required:

  • 6 years of experience in full stack or backend software development
  • 5 years of experience developing applications using Python
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices
  • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL MySQL or SQL Server
  • Experience with HTML5 CSS JavaScript TypeScript Bootstrap AJAX and JSON
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices
  • Experience working in Agile development environments

Preferred:

  • Experience with Oracle databases
  • Experience with PostgreSQL
  • Experience with AWS cloud services
  • Experience with microservices architecture
  • Experience developing real time web applications

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal state and local standards
  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings etc.
  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer utilizing a mouse keyboard and monitor

$63 - $68 per hour

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
