What You Will Do
The Safeguards Science and Technology Group (NEN-1) is seeking a motivated, customer-service-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide administrative and operational support to a dynamic organization supporting national security missions. NEN-1 currently consists of approximately 80 employees, including scientists, engineers, professionals, technicians, technologists, postdoctoral researchers, and students.
NEN-1 develops technologies and systems for the safeguarding of nuclear materials through nondestructive assay measurements and analysis. The group also maintains a robust training program that delivers approximately 30 technical courses annually.
The selected candidate will provide administrative support to group management and staff, helping ensure the smooth execution of day-to-day business operations. The successful candidate will be expected to manage multiple competing priorities, provide outstanding customer service, maintain attention to detail, and exercise sound judgment in resolving routine administrative issues.
This position requires a team-oriented individual who is organized, adaptable, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

Position requires a High School Diploma and three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.Additional administrative training, certifications, or education are desirable.

Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level). This position requires a Q clearance. and obtaining such clearance requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon the position, additional authorization to access classified information may be required, which may or may not be available to dual citizens. Receipt of a Q clearance and additional access authorization ultimately is a decision of the Federal Government and not of Triad.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.
