JOB TITLE: Embedded Software Engineer
LOCATION: Orlando, FL
PAY RATE: $71.59/hour
We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.
Job Details:
- Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)
- Schedule: 4/10, First Shift
- Clearance: Active Secret Clearance required to start (must already be active)

Summary:
- We are seeking a real-time C/C++ Embedded Software Engineer with strong experience in Linux and real-time operating systems running on multi-core processors.
- This role involves full lifecycle development, integration, and deployment of embedded systems in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Requirements:
- Active Secret Clearance required to start (must already be active)
- 5+ years of C/C++ embedded real-time development (object-oriented)
- 5+ years of experience developing on Linux / RTOS systems on multi-core processors
- 5+ years of hands-on software, firmware, and hardware integration experience
- 5+ years working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban)
- Experience using GitLab and Bitbucket for version control
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of C++ design patterns for embedded systems
- Experience with Yocto OS
- Familiarity with DDS (Data Distribution Service) middleware
- Experience with containerized development and deployment
- Exposure to DevSecOps practices (CI/CD, automated testing)
