JOB TITLE: Solder Assembler -1st Shift

LOCATION: Oldsmar, FL

PAY RATE: $30/hour

Summary:

  • This role requires expertise in both surface-mount technology (SMT) and through-hole soldering, with strong capability in advanced rework and repair of complex PCB assemblies.
  • The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling bottom-terminated components (QFNs, BGAs, LGAs) and performing high-precision work under a microscope using specialized rework and inspection equipment.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in SMT and through-hole soldering on complex PCBs
  • Hands-on experience with component removal, replacement, and repair of QFNs, BGAs, LGAs, and other bottom-terminated devices
  • Proficiency using rework tools such as hot-air pencils, hot plates, and precision soldering equipment
  • Ability to perform controlled thermal reflow processes, including pre-heat and cooling cycles
  • Experience operating X-ray inspection equipment to verify solder joint quality and inspect hidden connections
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and BOMs
  • Strong knowledge of electronic defect troubleshooting (tombstoning, solder bridges, voids, etc.)
  • Experience performing in-process quality inspections (visual, AOI, X-ray) and documenting results
  • Strong understanding of ESD-safe handling procedures and electronics manufacturing safety standards
  • Ability to work under a microscope for extended periods with high precision
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for fine electronic assembly work
  • Ability to read and write in English for documentation and compliance requirements
  • Willingness to work 1st shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM EST
  • Ability to pass a required medical examination prior to employment
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
