Job Title: Electrical Assembler

Job Description

This role focuses on assembling and wiring electrical control panels and cabinets by accurately reading and interpreting electrical schematics. You will begin with layout work on a dedicated cabinet line and progress to more complex tasks such as installing wiring, panduit, and related components as you gain experience. The position offers a consistent daytime schedule with opportunities for overtime and clear pathways for advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics to assemble and wire electrical control panels and cabinets.
  • Perform layout work on electrical cabinet lines, ensuring accurate placement of components according to design specifications.
  • Wire electrical cabinets for control panels, following schematics, blueprints, and established standards.
  • Install and assemble panduit and related electrical components within panels and cabinets.
  • Use basic mechanical skills to assemble panel boards and associated hardware.
  • Verify wiring connections and layouts for accuracy and completeness before final inspection.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area on the shop floor.
  • Collaborate with team members and leads to ensure production goals and quality standards are met.
  • Follow all shop floor procedures, security protocols, and safety guidelines.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Experience with electrical panel and electrical cabinet assembly.
  • Wiring experience for control panels and electrical cabinets.
  • Familiarity with blueprint reading for electrical and mechanical layouts.
  • Mechanical aptitude for panel board and component assembly.
  • For Tech I: Technical education from an institution such as Ranken with no field experience, OR no degree with 1–3 years of panel building experience.
  • For Tech II: Technical degree with 3+ years of panel building experience, OR 5+ years of panel building experience with no degree.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in wiring and layout work.
  • Ability to work a 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m., Monday–Friday schedule with optional overtime.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience assembling electrical panels, electrical cabinets, and control panels.
  • Experience working with panduit and related wiring management systems.
  • Comfort working from both electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks on a busy production line.
  • Ability to grow into more advanced roles such as senior technician or lead technician over time.
  • Motivation to work in a structured, secure, and clean manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

The position is based on a very clean, quiet, and well-lit shop floor designed to support focused electrical assembly work. The facility uses badge security for the entire building and individual rooms, providing a secure and controlled work setting. You will work a consistent day shift from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with plenty of optional overtime available. The work environment includes an employee rest area equipped with lunch and snack options, ample seating, televisions, and recreational games, offering a comfortable space to take breaks and connect with colleagues.

This is a Contract position based out of Olivette, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
