This is an opportunity to work with clients on specialized local campaigns that enhance reputation, strengthen community relationships, and support corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. If you're a communications professional who enjoys thinking strategically while executing tactically (and has an interest in emerging technologies and creative storytelling) we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll do:

  • Support day-to-day client communications and account management activities.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of grassroots, public affairs, and communications campaigns across targeted local markets throughout the U.S.
  • Coordinate project deliverables across internal teams, local market partners, consultants, and vendors to ensure seamless execution.
  • Contribute to earned media outreach, specialty events, stakeholder engagement, coalition-building efforts, and advocacy initiatives.
  • Draft proposals, strategy documents, client correspondence, briefing materials, and other communications assets.
  • Support the creation of client reports and presentations by helping identify key trends, summarize campaign performance, and synthesize insights from media coverage and other data sources.
  • Partner with teammates to develop visually compelling presentations and communications materials using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Explore and leverage AI-powered tools to improve workflows, streamline content development, support research, and enhance day-to-day productivity.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of client businesses, priorities, and objectives while proactively identifying opportunities and challenges.

Experience that contributes to success:

  • 1+ years of experience in public affairs, government relations, strategic communications, public relations, or political communications.
  • Interest in public relations or public affairs with a focus on earned media, corporate communications, advocacy campaigns, or grassroots engagement.
  • Experience working in an agency and/or in-house corporate communications environment is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of communications, public relations, grassroots advocacy, or integrated marketing campaigns is preferred.
  • Strong project management skills, organizational abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of integrated earned, digital, and social campaigns for diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with reporting and analytics, including identifying trends and helping develop client-ready reports and presentations, is a plus but not required.
  • Design fluency and experience creating presentations or visual content using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
  • Curiosity about emerging AI technologies and familiarity with incorporating AI tools into communications or operational workflows is a plus.
