Job Description and Duties

Safety and Health Services has an immediate opening for an Analyst II which will be housed in Vacaville. Would you like to make a difference in your career? Do you like varied assignments working with a dynamic, engaged team of safety professionals? We are looking for an Analyst II to help support our mission to help make workplaces safe. This position will work with a dynamic group who support the people who provide safety services and outreach to our policyholders. The duties are varied and project oriented.

As an Analyst II, this position will provide program management and operational support in the areas of budgeting, staffing, position control, metric development and tracking, and creating processes and procedures.

The ideal candidate should possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Proficient knowledge of the State Fund organization, business policies, and practices
  • Familiarity with Safety and Health Services and its mission and vision
  • Working knowledge of general management and personnel management principles and practices
  • Proficiency in State Fund standard software applications with an emphasis on Excel, Word, Access, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, Power Point, Business Objects and the Loss Prevention application
  • Ability to work effectively and professionally with management and staff
  • Ability to analyze situations, data, and information, and to pro-actively make and support decisions, alternatives and recommendations
  • Ability to handle multiple projects while still meeting competing critical and time sensitive deadlines
  • Ability to work and communicate with all programs across the organization
