Job Title: Software Engineer

Job Description

The Software Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of complex software to create custom solutions and services tailored to the needs of the business and its customers. This role requires a deep understanding of relevant technologies in the development, automation, and IoT space, and will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the Digital Manufacturing & Automation group, focusing on development tasks in a fast-paced environment using Agile methodology.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test software to create solutions and services tailored to the needs of the business and its customers, impacting the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives.
  • Analyze complex data to interpret business challenges and effectively lead the installation of new systems or the modification of existing systems for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage multiple large-scale software development projects.
  • Apply principles of SDLC and Lean/Agile/XP/TDD/CI/CD methodologies to deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable software modules.
  • Collaborate with clients and cross-functional departments to develop technologies required to meet business requirements.
  • Monitor system performance, test new software, and fix complex bugs using analytical thinking, tools, and judgment to identify innovative solutions.
  • Apply best practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years in software design and programming with C# and SQL.
  • Proficiency in Equipment Integration (SignalR or RabbitMQ).
  • Experience in Back-End Development (API/Microservices) using C# .NET.
  • Strong skills in SQL Server (T-SQL/Stored Procedures).
  • Experience with C# in Windows, OPC UA, and RabbitMQ.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with developing, implementing, and supporting systems utilizing REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with JSON, ODATA, and XML.
  • Experience with Networking and Security Standards.

Work Environment

The position requires a minimum of 3 days onsite and may involve travel both within the US and internationally for integration testing and implementations, up to 26 business days per year. You will be part of a local team of 10, which is part of a global team of over 200. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision options, 401(k) participation, and disability and life insurance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Exton, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $64.00/hr.
