Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

As Senior Software Engineer, you will contribute to the design flow infrastructure by shaping its concept, methodology, and ongoing development, while also developing specifications, implementing solutions, conducting tests, and providing support to ensure a robust and efficient Infineon Design Flow infrastructure.

• Implement, test, document, and support the components implemented in Python and C++
• Define technical software specifications in alignment with stakeholder requirements and project needs
• Perform hands-on programming, including unit, integration and functional test, error handling, documentation, deployment, and ongoing maintenance
• Use software quality and DevOps tools (e.g., code coverage, CI/CD, performance testing, memory checks) to ensure high-quality development standards
• Collaborate closely with designers and flow teams to understand automation needs, customizing existing tools or proposing new solutions to reduce design cycle time
• Ensure compliance with Infineon development processes, methodologies, and milestones, while leveraging AI-powered tools to improve efficiency, reduce manual errors, and enhance productivity
• As component lead, take full ownership of software architecture, design, and documentation, including technical proposals, roadmap planning, stakeholder communication, effort estimation, and mentoring team members through guidance and reviews

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

You communicate clearly and effectively, with the ability to understand what motivates others and drive topics forward with ownership, autonomy, and a proactive mindset. You are comfortable working across global, multicultural teams and are confident in challenging the status quo with creativity and new ideas.

• A university degree in Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, combined with at least 5+ years of experience in software engineering, or semiconductor experience considered as an advantage
• Strong programming skills in object-oriented languages, particularly Python, with C++ experience as an advantage
• Solid working knowledge of Linux (or Unix) or similar operating systems
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, including design patterns (considered a plus)
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, and SonarQube
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, with experience working in Scrum or Kanban teams seen as an advantage
• Fluency in English
