BHIW includes programs that address chronic diseases, prevent and reduce injuries, promote access to health care, and reduce health disparities. Program initiatives include the promotion of healthy eating and active living, as well as the prevention of chronic diseases, tobacco use, child injuries, sexual assault, domestic violence, and drug overdoses.
What You'll Do:
ODH is seeking a detail‑oriented, strategic, and collaborative professional to serve as the Older Adult Falls Special Project Coordinator within the Violence & Injury Prevention Section (VIPS). This role provides program direction, oversees statewide injury‑prevention initiatives, and supports the implementation of evidence‑based programs aimed at reducing older adult falls across Ohio. Job duties include:
Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This is an exempt hourly position, with a pay range of 12 on the E1 Exempt Pay Range Schedule.

4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. exp. in business administration management science or public administration.
Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration; AND 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.

Unless required by legislation, the selected candidate will begin at Pay Grade 12, Step 1 of the Exempt Pay Range Schedule ($33.32 per hour), with an opportunity for pay increase after six months ($35.21 per hour) of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.
