Summary:

The Logistics Handling Operations Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and compliant customs clearance of goods entrusted for import and export on behalf of customers. This position ensures strict adherence to both external customs regulations and internal procedures, including accurate billing processes. The successful candidate acts as a key liaison between customers, customs authorities, and internal teams to sustain smooth logistics operations within PT CEVA AIR OCEAN Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage the customs clearance process for imports and exports, ensuring full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company standards.
• Prepare, verify, and submit accurate customs documentation and declarations required for regulatory approvals.
• Liaise with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and clients to resolve any issues or enquiries related to customs clearance.
• Manage billing processes associated with customs brokerage services, ensuring invoices are accurate and processed in a timely manner.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs legislation and industry best practices to support ongoing compliance and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the Affairs and Compliance division to harmonise processes and ensure seamless logistics handling.
• Support audits and inspections by internal and external stakeholders related to customs operations and compliance.
• Utilise logistics and customs software systems efficiently for tracking, reporting, and documentation purposes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives relating to customs operational procedures and service quality.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience in customs brokerage, logistics handling, or operations within an import/export environment is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of Indonesian customs regulations, import/export compliance and related procedures.
• Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently to manage priorities and deadlines.
• Good communication skills to effectively interact with customs authorities, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using relevant IT tools and logistics management systems.
• Problem-solving mindset to address operational challenges and regulatory enquiries swiftly and effectively.
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information responsibly.
