Responsibilities
- Analyze and resolve application issues in collaboration with development and support teams.
- Troubleshoot defects, discrepancies, and performance issues through code debugging and log analysis.
- Manage production incidents and communicate effectively with users, application owners, and senior stakeholders.
- Monitor application health and identify recurring issues, trends, and root causes.
- Recommend and drive permanent fixes to improve application stability and performance.
- Leverage automation and monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve production issues.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and collaborate with engineering teams to implement solutions.
- Participate in change management activities to minimize production risk.
- Create and maintain operational runbooks and support documentation.
- Develop reports and dashboards to track application health, incident trends, and service performance.
- Learn and support proprietary technologies as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Data Structures and core Computer Science concepts.
- Experience with Java development or support.
- Hands-on experience with SQL.
- Experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Financial Services industry.
- Exposure to Big Data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, HDFS, or cloud-based distributed computing platforms.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications.
