Job Title: Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Analyst

Location: Van Buren, Arkansas

Position Overview

System One is working with a client seeking a proactive and detail-oriented EHS Analyst to support and enhance safety initiatives within the company's manufacturing facility. This role plays a key part in ensuring regulatory compliance, driving a strong safety culture, and partnering with operations to identify and mitigate risk. The ideal candidate is hands-on, data-driven, and passionate about creating a safe and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, audits, and monitoring of equipment, work areas, and processes to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Identify potential hazards and recommend preventive and corrective actions
• Lead new hire safety training and ongoing employee safety education (including SafeStart)
• Perform compliance audits and maintain safety work order tracking
• Investigate near-miss incidents and support corrective action implementation
• Conduct annual fall protection inspections
• Maintain a visible and active presence on the plant floor
• Serve as an active member of the Plant Safety Committee
• Update and manage site safety signage
• Prepare and maintain monthly safety reports and key performance metrics
• Analyze safety trends and present actionable insights to plant leadership
• Assist in the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of safety procedures
• Input and manage safety data within Benchmark/Gensuite systems
• Support contractor safety programs and compliance efforts
• Collaborate with engineering and operations on new or modified processes to ensure safety considerations are integrated throughout design and implementation
• Promote and drive a culture of EHS excellence and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing or construction environment
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and applicable industry standards
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to deliver training and influence safe work practices
• Ability to motivate teams and gain buy-in for safety initiatives
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in computer systems including databases, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
• High attention to detail with the ability to understand broader operational impacts
• Experience working with regulatory agencies, contractors, and external partners
