Job Description

This role focuses on producing high-quality cardiovascular medical devices within a dedicated manufacturing cell. You will perform detailed assembly work and operate a variety of equipment and machinery by following documented procedures. The position involves tasks such as electronic and mechanical assembly, casting and coating, packaging, and cleaning tools and equipment, all within a controlled cleanroom environment. You will work with precision instruments, perform inspections and tests, and help ensure that all products meet strict quality and traceability standards while adhering to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble cardiovascular medical devices and related components according to documented procedures and standardized work instructions.
  • Perform detailed electronic assembly, casting and coating functions, mechanical assembly, and packaging operations as required.
  • Operate various equipment and machinery safely and effectively within a manufacturing cell.
  • Use microscopes, hand tools, razor blades, syringes, soldering tools, and adhesive bonding equipment to complete precision assembly tasks.
  • Clean tools, equipment, and work areas in accordance with documented procedures to maintain a controlled cleanroom environment.
  • Carry out routine assignments under close and continuous review, ensuring adherence to established procedures and quality standards.
  • Perform visual inspections and precision measurements on components and assemblies to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Conduct tests on units using computerized test equipment and accurately document the results.
  • Repair and correct devices and components using microscopes and appropriate tools when defects or issues are identified.
  • Package finished devices, ensuring all parts are accurate, correctly labeled, and accompanied by complete documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records so that travelers, shop floor paperwork, and quality documents remain up to date and all parts are fully traceable.
  • Identify and document quality issues so they can be addressed promptly and product quality is consistently maintained.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate safety devices and equipment when performing operations in the manufacturing and cleanroom areas.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Basic English communication skills.
  • At least 6 months of manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to perform detailed assembly work using microscopes, hand tools, razor blades, syringes, and soldering tools.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably involving medical devices or cleanroom operations.
  • Ability to follow documented procedures, standardized work instructions, and safety guidelines.
  • Capability to perform visual inspection and precision measurements on small components and assemblies.
  • Comfort using computerized test equipment to perform tests and record results.
  • Strong attention to detail to maintain accurate records and ensure full traceability of parts and documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a closely supervised, team-based manufacturing cell.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with medical device assembly or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and gowning procedures.
  • Background in machine operation or machine setup within a production setting.
  • Experience in food service or similar fast-paced, process-driven roles that require strict hygiene and cleanliness standards.
  • Comfort working with adhesive bonding processes and casting or coating functions.
  • Ability to adapt to repetitive tasks while maintaining high quality and consistency.

Work Environment

The role is based in a manufacturing facility with a controlled cleanroom environment where cleanliness, precision, and adherence to procedures are essential. You will work within a manufacturing cell and regularly use microscopes, hand tools, syringes, soldering equipment, adhesive bonding tools, and computerized test equipment. The work involves routine, process-driven tasks that are closely monitored to ensure consistent quality. The dress code requires a professional, businesslike appearance even in the manufacturing setting. Clothing with suggestive or derogatory language, exposed or revealing clothing, dirty or stained garments, pajama pants, and bedroom shoes or house slippers are not permitted. Jeans must be professionally appropriate, with no rips, holes, or stains, and must comply with global gowning procedures. Cleanroom gowning rules include no makeup, no false eyelashes or eyelash extensions, and no jewelry to maintain product integrity and a controlled environment. Visitors frequently tour the facility, so maintaining a clean, orderly, and professional appearance is an important part of the work culture.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Temecula, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $22.83/hr.
