Job Description
We are looking for a Platform Engineer for Observability Backend team that owns stateful services for the Service Reliability and Observability.
In the Service Reliability and Observability (SRO) department, we develop and provide modern observability services and standardized practices to ensure IT systems are efficient and reliable, saving time for infrastructure and software engineers.
Our team owns Elasticsearch, Thanos, Kafka and Tempo that are used in centralized Observability services to keep logs, metrics and traces.
The workplace is located in Vilnius. Danske Bank supports workplace flexibility (we currently use a hybrid work model, where we work at least 3 days in the office).
This role does not include a relocation allowance.
You will:
- participate in building and constantly improving observability solutions
- ensure the availability of Team owning services (including the on call duty)
- participate in projects of the Team:
- cloud migration
- high-availability implementation
- new services and tooling onboarding
About you:
- at least 3 years of experience working as Infrastructure/Platform engineer
- familiarity with server-side technologies (Docker/Podman, Kubernetes)
- experience with infrastructure as a code tooling (Terraform, Chef, Ansible, Helm)
- familiarity with Cloud services (preferably AWS)
- experience of owning (or being a power-user) at least 2 of:
- logs keeping solution – preferably Elasticsearch
- queueing solution – preferably Kafka
- time series db – preferably Prometheus (Thanos)
- logs ETL – preferably Vector
- metrics visualization solution – preferably Grafana
- passion to learn new technologies
- initiative to suggest solutions and challenge existing ones
- can-do approach
- ability to prove ideas with POC’s and demonstrations
Would be beneficial:
- coding experience (Python)

Monthly salary range from 3760 EUR to 5640 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
