Position Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer (Hybrid Cloud & Infrastructure) to join our technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting enterprise infrastructure modernization initiatives across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments.

You will play a key role in designing, administering, and optimizing enterprise infrastructure, including servers, virtualization platforms, storage solutions, backup and disaster recovery systems, and Microsoft cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience managing enterprise environments while leading infrastructure transformation initiatives such as datacenter migrations, hardware refresh programs, and hybrid cloud adoption.

This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with IT leadership, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure stability, scalability, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments.
• Administer and maintain Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, including user lifecycle management, Group Policies, role governance, Conditional Access, and security controls.
• Manage Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, licensing, permissions, governance, and compliance configurations.
• Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives, including datacenter migrations, hardware refresh programs, cloud adoption projects, and disaster recovery planning.
• Design, implement, and maintain backup and recovery solutions using Veeam or similar enterprise platforms.
• Ensure backup and disaster recovery strategies meet defined RTO and RPO objectives.
• Support and administer virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
• Manage server and storage environments, including Windows Server, SAN, and NAS technologies.
• Collaborate with application teams, IT leadership, vendors, and stakeholders to support infrastructure projects and operational improvements.
• Monitor infrastructure health, respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, runbooks, SOPs, and operational procedures.
• Drive infrastructure standardization, security best practices, and operational consistency across environments.
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise systems engineering and infrastructure administration.
• Strong hands-on experience with Active Directory and Azure Active Directory administration.
• Proven experience managing Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Security & Compliance Center, and identity services.
• Experience with Windows Server administration and enterprise storage technologies (SAN/NAS).
• Strong experience supporting VMware and/or Hyper-V environments.
• Hands-on experience with Veeam or enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Solid understanding of hybrid cloud architectures and Azure integration with on-premises environments.
• Experience supporting datacenter migration projects and infrastructure lifecycle management initiatives.
• Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
• Experience working within structured operational environments and infrastructure governance models.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Experience with Azure Arc and hybrid infrastructure management.
• PowerShell scripting and infrastructure automation experience.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep).
• Experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM platforms.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, and security hardening best practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager.
• Azure Administrator (AZ-104), MCSE, MCSA, VCP, or equivalent certifications.
• Experience working in distributed teams across multiple regions and time zones.
