Warehouse Associate – Thrift Store
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Schedule: Day shift; weekend availability may be required
Pay: Competitive pay based on experience
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Warehouse Associate to support the daily
operations of a busy thrift store. This position is responsible for receiving, sorting,
processing, and organizing donated merchandise while maintaining a clean, safe, and
efficient warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload donations from customers and delivery vehicles
- Sort, inspect, and organize donated items, including clothing, furniture, household goods, and miscellaneous merchandise
- Prepare merchandise for the sales floor by tagging, pricing, and staging items
- Move inventory throughout the warehouse and sales floor as needed
- Load and unload furniture and large items safely
- Maintain organized inventory, donation, and storage areas
- Keep warehouse and work areas clean, safe, and organized
- Follow company safety procedures and policies
- Assist customers and donors with loading and unloading items as needed
- Work with team members to meet daily production goals
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, retail, thrift store, or production experience preferred
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Forklift or pallet jack experience is a plus but not required
