Description
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with various stakeholder communities to identify data needs and design data pipelines across different platform layers.
- Ensure the technical infrastructure is robust and suitable for managing the data platform and associated activities.
- Create and enforce standards and patterns for high-quality development practices.
- Define features and capabilities that enhance data usage within the insurance sector.
- Provide governance and consultancy to users regarding the data platform and related inquiries.
Mandatory Skills
- 8 years of experience in a Data Engineering role.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Experience with Azure capabilities, particularly Analytics tools including Synapse.
- Advanced SQL knowledge, ideally with MS SQL Server and Azure SQL.
- Experience in data analytics, information services data cleansing, data migration, and data modeling and design.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Spark.
- Strong communication skills to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Ability to influence strategic data usage at both technical and cultural levels.
- Willingness to learn and propose innovative solutions.
- Experience in a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field is preferred.
